A Guide to Social Media Success
Thank you BREAKINGCOPY for this funny-but-true info-graphic about posting status updates.
OK, at this point you should have a Facebook profile page you are comfortable using for work purposes. NOW it’s time to set up your business facebook page……
I WAS going to take the time to walk you through setting this up but my marketing information I’m getting back from these emails is that you don’t read any of that……:-) so I’m going to share with you the single most helpful thing I know about a social marketing campaign. I don’t want to hear “I don’t want to hear it”…. Take a second and think about this…..
Do you remember playing tether-ball as a child? Well I do, and I do understand that might date me a little. But the figurative point is that the ball (your message) is attached to a rope (social media) and it’s pushed in a direction to make contact with others (your customers). Now how many figurative games of tether-ball can you play? I can play hundreds at one time. Because I harness the power of social media. Not only that, I use social media as a communication tool, and you can too.
But you have to have direction and a plan, or you look like a crazy person running up and down the playground hitting tether-balls randomly.
This is probably the most comprehensive flowchart on how to handle your social media marketing:
